There is nothing quite like playing a game that absorbs all of your attention, uses all of your skills, and tells a riveting story while you’re at it. It’s unlike any other form of media. Sure, you could watch a really good movie and be funny locked into its story, feeling like you’re living right alongside the protagonist. But you yourself are not affecting the outcome of that movie. You could read a gripping choose-your-adventure novel and feel like a hero journeying your way through a quest, but you’re not seeing it with your own two eyeballs.
When you’re playing a video game, all of that is happening at once. It takes all of your senses and uses them in its storytelling. So it’s no wonder that we’re so addicted to them. It’s perfectly natural. So to honor this great medium, here are some gaming memes that celebrate it in all its glory.

You’re pretty lucky. The very fact that we can hop in an automobile and go wherever we want is kind of sick. When you think about it, the invention of the car was monumental in travel inventions as the previous form of transport was a horse and buggy. I’m not sure I’m cool with a horse dragging my weight around, so cars are pretty rad.
Driving is less cool sometimes. You have the typical road rage-ridden drivers who always think they’re in the right, you have daily rush hour traffic that makes you feel like you’re never going to get home, and you have the price of gas. The three horsemen of the driving apocalypse. I can’t really speak for drivers because I grew up in New York City and don’t even have my permit. So, I guess all that I’ve written thus far is hearsay. Regardless, driving is freeing and hindering all at once—and I think that’s beautiful.
