Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder Have aliens ever set foot on our planet? If any organization would know the answer, it’s the Pentagon, and now the verdict is in.

According to the U.S. Department of Defense, no evidence has been found to suggest that aliens have ever visited Earth.

During a recent Pentagon press conference, Major General Pat Ryder faced tough questions, including a cleverly crafted inquiry from Jeff Schogol, a journalist with the military news outlet Task & Purpose.

Schogol used the opportunity to indirectly ask if aliens had ever visited Earth, saying, “Given the news cycle, you could announce anything about aliens or extraterrestrial life, and no one would care.”

Ryder gave a nod to the epic sci-fi series The X-Files through its tagline ‘the truth is out there’, which opens every episode, before schooling Schogol.

He said: “The truth is out there, Jeff, and the truth is, we have no evidence to indicate extraterrestrial life has visited the planet.”

The U.S. government, often linked to rumors about UFOs and the infamous Area 51, has officially stated that it has never encountered extraterrestrial life on Earth.

In 2022, the Department of Defense established the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) to investigate the possibility of alien visits.

After extensive research, the report concluded that none of the U.S. government’s investigations to date had uncovered evidence of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP, also known as UFOs) linked to alien technology.

The report further clarified that certain top-secret national security programs were often mistakenly identified as UFO-related. Additionally, AARO found no supporting evidence for claims that the U.S. government had engaged in reverse engineering alien technology, and most claims from interviewees were debunked.

“So, here’s your answer—an unequivocal ‘no,’ at least for now,” the report concluded.
