
Do you ever sit there and start thinking about something that you thought you were done thinking about? Something you thought would never bother you again, but here you are just sitting there minding your own business and your brain decides to drift back into that thought process. It’s like your brain and your iPhone’s “on this day” photo throwback real teamed up to give you the most depressing carousel of images. You can go to therapy your entire life, but healing isn’t linear and, let’s be honest, you might have healed from those memories, but it’s not like you Men In Black-ed yourself. Those memories will always be there, unfortunately. So what do you do when this happens? I mean, you can do the things your therapist suggest—breath worth, meditation, journaling, living in that moment and explore why your mind drifted back to it, etc. Or, you can do what we do and meme about it…
