25 Memes to Browse Before Hitting The Hay #Fun

We are all living in a golden age of mattress technology. I take it for granted that I can order a mattress right to my apartment in a box without going to a mattress store and have no problems with it. I am forever grateful that I was brought into this world after water beds went out of style. I have seen Edward Scissorhands, and I’m not confident that a similar situation would not happen to me if I had a bed filled with water (I can be a little clumsy with my scissors, what can I say?)

I take it even more for granted that I’m sleeping in a bed at all! To be honest, all this reflection is making me realize how comfy my life is. I could be sleeping on the floor every night! I could be sleeping on a bushel of hay in a barn. I’m grateful I get to roll over in my full bed from Wayfair every night, and if you feel similarly, you can enjoy even more abundance with these funny memes

The Best Heartwarmingly Wholesome Memes and Posts of the Week (April 17, 2025) #Fun

It doesn’t have to take a lot of time or effort to improve somebody’s day, whether that be other people or yourself. Paying a friend a compliment or, say, telling somebody to skip in front of you in the checkout line takes a matter of seconds, but these small moments add up.

We could argue that this is also part of the driving philosophy behind wholesome memes. You can process what a heartwarming meme or post is saying in a tiny amount of time, but the impact it may have can easily outstrip the effort it takes to process it.

To make the process even simpler, we like to collect the best of wholesomeness on the internet for your viewing pleasure in one uncomplicated list. Good things happen every day, and sometimes they get posted on the internet with the happy consequence of spreading the joy even further than before.

A Touch of Memes to Cure What Ails You #Fun

Once you have spent enough years of your life looking at nonsense on the internet, it becomes apparent that if you search hard enough, there really is some kind of meme for every single situation. All of the post-online human experience (plus a bit before and after) is summed up in the stupidity that is silly image macros and videos.

By this logic, whatever you may be feeling or whatever you are going through in life, you are in safe hands when you turn to memes. Sure, it might be that they don’t provide exactly what you are searching for, but they will still give you a welcome distraction nonetheless. This list is no different. It is here to put a smile on your face, metaphorically speaking at least, with the amusement that it has to offer. The only way to find out if it is going o work is to keep on scrolling.

On the internet, marketing is king, and the users sell it best. Certain social media platforms would cease to exist without users shilling a melting pot of aspirational identities for users to choose from.

We know by now that the purest form of internet marketing weaponizer is “the influencer“—it is right there in the name after all. Utilizing their mass following and “influence” to sign massive deals with companies with nearly bottomless marketing budgets, carefully—sometimes, incredibly subtly—placing products in front of their followers’ eyes and convincing them that these products are worth their dollar.

As a wise woman once said, every day that comes, comes once in a lifetime. Judy Garland was really onto something with that one, as she was onto a lot of things. Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high, there actually is a lan that I heard of once in a lullaby: go figure! Everybody likes to call that woman a tragic Hollywood figure, even though that’s not at all how she thought of herself. She was somebody who was exploited by the studio system and the crushing demands of the 30s and 40s motion picture industry. During her life, so many people thought of her as only a voice and not a full-fledged human being. Judy Garland was an impeccable singer, but she was also hilarious, a loving mother, and a positive presence in the lives of people around her. In the words of Judy herself:

“Only once comes this particular sky
Only once these precious hours go by
Only once in a lifetime a day comes by
So live, live, live, come on and live today!”

If your idea of living today begins with a nice hot steaming pile of memes, than you’ve come to the right place.

25+ Baking Memes Putting a Tray of Cookies in the Oven #Fun

There’s always time for a cookie. I don’t think there’s ever a time when I would say no to one. Wherever you are, no matter what you’re doing, a cookie is a good idea. They’re portable, so you don’t have to worry about having a plate or a fork. They’re usually crushable within a few bites, so you don’t really need time to eat them. And they’re delicious, so you’re always in the mood for one. Unless you’re in a Grinch-type situation where townspeople have been feeding you so many desserts that you think you’re about to pop. That’s the only appropriate situation when you could turn one down.

There would be no cookies, though, without the good folks who make them. Bakers should hold a special place in the ranks of society. When everything is collapsing, we turn to them for support. We need them to make our dark days bright again.

Everyone seems to associate coziness with fall. We think about curling up with a hot tea while the leaves change, planning our Halloween costumes. There’s something about cold weather that ups our urge to get lost under a pile of blankets for a while. I’m here to say, though, that coziness is equally important in Spring. Sure, we might be shedding layers and frolicking a bit more in the meadow, but the need to read a book in a comfy outfit hardly ever wanes, if you’re me.

Plus, greenery and flowers and fresh-mowed laws are equally cozy as pumpkins and chai lattes. It’s all about perspective. So if you need a little dose of what the Scandinavians call “hygge,” you’re in the right place. These memes don’t raise your heart rate, they lower it. They inspire you to pick out a good book and lay out a gingham blanket in the grass.

25 Memes Holding Out for a Hero #Fun

In the words of Bonnie Tyler, “Where have all the good men gone and where are all the gods? Where’s the streetwise Hercules to fight the risin’ odds? Isn’t there a white knight upon a fiery steed? Late at night, I toss and I turn and I dream of what I need. I need a hero. I’m holding out for a hero till the end of the night. He’s gotta be strong and he’s gotta be fast, and he’s gotta be fresh from the fight.” If you’re like me, you probably first heard that song in the incredible, near-perfect movie Shrek 2, sung by the fairy godmother who was voiced by Jennifer Saunders. And it stayed with you ever since. The chorus echoes in your mind, a plea for something… heroic to come along.

Heroes can take many shapes and forms. They can be the teacher who taught you how to read an analog clock. They can be your cat that saved you from a long spell of sadness. And they are memes that save you from boredom.

22 Happy Little Memes That Highlight the Best Parts of Being Human (March 30, 2025) #Fun

Sitting in the park on a warm, yet breezy spring day has to be one of the happiest places for a city dweller. Silencing the bustling noise of society and quieting your thoughts to nearly a whisper, all that remains are the sweet bird calls, the swaying grass, and the peaceful floating clouds above. Being on the go can be fun and exciting, but recuperating the soul with a little nature TLC is a singular, necessary experience.

Happiest in the blanketing sunshine and refueling our serotonin levels, dwindled by the long winter, spring rejuvenates the human soul like no other.

Bask in the glories of the outdoors, exposing your cheeks to the glow of true happiness once more. Because happy thoughts are only a wistful moment away when you’re chilling on a grassy bed making shapes and stories with the idly passing cumulous clouds. Happiness is just a park visit away!

There’s nothing like taking the day to pamper yourself. Whether you’re going all out and getting a scrub down at a day spa or you’re slapping some cream on your face in the bathroom mirror, it’s important that you treat yourself every now and again. You put so much effort into your job, into your family, into your hobbies that it’s easy to forget yourself. You wake up feeling tired and drink an extra cup of coffee to compensate, neglecting to address the underlying problems.

What can help turn this around are rest days. Not just days when you catch up on chores and end up deep cleaning your entire house, but actual rest days. This can mean lounging in bed with a good book, getting lost in its pages, and ignoring the time of day. It can mean spending all afternoon petting your dog (he wouldn’t mind that). Or it can mean sitting back with a good list of memes.

32 Memes to Branch Out With #Fun

Many may argue that spending your spare time browsing memes is just about the most risk-averse act imaginable. It is the epitome of staying comfortable in your comfort zone, a kind of managed inertia that drip-feeds you mild entertainment for hours upon hours every day.

While the procrastination element of it can’t be ignored, we also cannot turn a blind eye to the endless possibilities for adventure that come with exploring the world of internet humor. It can expose you to random ephemera and ways of thinking that you may not have seen otherwise, and whether you like it or not it still adds to the expansion of your mind.

When you dive into a meme list like this, it promises to open up some of these kinds of opportunities. All you have to do is keep on scrolling and enjoy the randomness that will shortly be coming your way.

How Jemima Kirke From ‘Girls’ Became the Face of Internet Nihilism Through a Meme #Fun

Jemima Kirke, known for her role as Jessa on Lena Dunham’s Girls on HBO, is also known for her cheeky and blunt Instagram story posts. The Girls star frequently has “Ask Me Anything” Q&A-style conversations with her Instagram followers, oftentimes offering them soulful and spiritual advice on any personal life questions they may be seeking answers to.

What first started as a response to a meme about Kirke’s romantic preferences has now sprouted into a top 20 reaction meme that can be used in almost any regard. The meme has been used to react to utterly random events that have occurred in pop culture. It is used as a means to deprecate oneself and to display a numbness to the current chaos happening in the world. The meme conveys a sense of cavalierness and carelessness about what any given user is reacting to—and usually, it’s something pretty unnerving… But what isn’t nowadays? Jemima Kirke, hilariously and inadvertently, became the face of internet nihilism in 2024 and continues to live on, cavalierly, in the internet ether as a sign of the times. Even still, the meme is used for its (likely) originally intended use: To say, “What the [heck], sure”.

40+ Memes That Beat Temple Run-Family Guy Videos #Fun

If you’ve looked around the internet lately, you might’ve noticed that a lot of it is slop. I feel like 5 years ago, I was regularly engaging with interesting, thought-provoking, and entertaining content on nearly every social media platform I used, but recently, it’s felt like all of the good stuff is buried under thousands of tons of slop. I don’t know if it’s because Elon Musk bought Twitter or I’ve just gotten older, but I’m getting sucked into the slop just as much as any 12-year-old boy who doesn’t know a life without Roblox. My entire Instagram Reels feed is nothing but clips of Temple Run gameplay with Family Guy clips playing over it. I don’t even like Family Guy and its gag-based comedy, but I am not immune to the Peter Griffin propaganda. The only way I can stop watching inane stuff like this is by turning off my phone and putting it in a drawer.

25+ Memes Passed Down From Generation to Generation #Fun

There are lots of things we inherit from our ancestors, whether we like it or not. Maybe you have your mother’s eyes. Maybe you have your father’s sense of humor. Maybe you have your grandmother’s aversion to spinach. Maybe you have your great-great-great-grandfather’s affinity for bananas, but you would never really know that would you? Some things are ambiguous that we inherit, and we may never fully know where we get each part of our personalities, and if anything we’ve ever done is original. This is the pain of being a human. We’re made up of people and experiences, and we hope the whole is greater than the sum of those parts.

So it’s good to think about what you’re leaving behind. Not only in terms of legacy- maybe you have children, maybe you have a business, maybe you’ve produced art that will outlive you. But maybe you can purposefully leave something that will really be of value to generations to come- memes.

28 Esoteric Memes For Smart Folk #Fun

I know who you are. You’re the former gifted kid everyone’s always talking about. Every parent and teacher in your life told you that you were a genius when you were in Elementary school, and of course, you believed it! Why wouldn’t you accept such a flattering narrative? Now that you’re an adult, things don’t come as easy to you, and you have to work hard like everyone else. What a shame…

If you are a truly gifted kid, you should be able to translate your childhood interest in computers or reading adult chapter books into a lifelong fascination with learning. But a lot of times, that doesn’t happen, and those of us who were just plain mediocre get to rise up to become the smart adults. It doesn’t matter if you’re a gifted kid, a gifted adult, or a normal person who is learning and growing every day…these memes are for you.

Whew! We’ve nearly made it through yet another brutal winter with one mission: to make us forget what warmth on our skin felt like. We’re not totally in the clear yet, but I believe we’ve finally surpassed “Fool’s spring” and successfully made it to the real deal. With the clocks springing forward an hour this weekend, we’ll have extra sunlight… can you believe that? I don’t remember what life was like when the sun set after 6 PM…

Even though we’ve made it to spring, we’re still in for lots of rain, lots of pollen, and LOTS of bugs coming back to stay with us for the summer. For those lucky enough to get a taste of all four seasons, you’re probably restless thinking about going outside in just a t-shirt and jeans. The warmth isn’t for everyone, but it’s safe to say we’ve all been missing some vitamin D. While you wait, stick around for some vitamin Meme.

25 Memes Rolling On Like a Rolling Stone #Fun

It’s official, Timothée Chalamet did not win the Oscar for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown. As much as Club Chalamet would have liked for that not to be the case, it is. Whether or not you thought he deserved it, perhaps we can all agree that “Like a Rolling Stone” is indeed a banger for the ages. The opening organ chord, his signature drawl, the insisting chorus of “How does it feel?” That’s a song that immediately puts you on your toes from its very first bar. No wonder we’re still exploring its origins and impacts in 2024/2025.

The central idea of the song is an interesting one: exploring what it’s like to be a tumbleweed through this thing we call life, never quite landing somewhere, just rolling on to infinity and forever after. To be on your own, a complete unknown. But there are a few things that keep the lonely traveler company, and memes are one of them.

25+ Spicy Food Memes for Spice Lovers Adding Hot Sauce to Everything #Fun

Everyone has a different spice tolerance. To some, even ranch dressing borders on too much. Others could down a bottle of ghost pepper hot sauce and still save room for some Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Odds are, at some point in your life, you’ve tested the boundaries of your spice tolerance. You’ve eagerly downed a bowl of spicy ramen just to realize that your face has turned red and you’ll probably be fighting for your life in the bathroom shortly. But it’s worth it. Spice is flavor.

Why else would we insist on keeping hot sauce  on the tables of our diners and breakfast places? Because eggs are nothing without them. Why do some of us carry around a little bottle of Tajin just in case? Because you never know if you’re going to need it. Why do we have a celebrity interview show revolving around eating hot chicken wings? Because spice makes you vulnerable.

I love people who have a unique laugh. That is to say, I love myself. My laugh has gone through many iterations over the years. I think there was a time many years ago when I had a normal laugh, but once my Trixie Mattel-esque bird-esque scream laughing came into my life, I haven’t been the same since. I am also known to employ a laugh that sounds like flatulence. That’s the laugh I do when someone says something that’s not that funny, but I feel that I should laugh at it anyway. People comment on your laugh when it’s unique, and you’re supposed to feel like that’s bad. I’ve had two standup comedians call me out for laughing at their comedy in a way they found distracting. In my eyes, a weird laugh is something to be celebrated. Joy should not be edited for the comfort of others. Even if your laugh is going “HEE HEE HO HO” at an uncomfortably high volume, I hope you enjoy this collection of random funny memes.

22 Employee Burnout Memes to Get You Through Your Winter Work Slump (February 21, 2025) #Fun

Now that it’s almost the weekend, the woes of the workweek are far behind us and we have a grand two days to decompress before we enter our workplaces yet again. Severance was onto something with this whole work/life balance thing. I wish my “party in the back” brain could go to sleep while my “business in the front” brain made small talk at the water cooler with Greg and Sally. Sigh. Such is life.

It’s not all bad, though. The weekend is something to look forward to. It is a reward for our 9-5 grind five days a week. Even though we should probably get more than two days off 104 times a year. You can do the math on that, but it’s not nearly enough for what we endure day-to-day during the week. Luckily, we have just what you need to help you kick back, relax, and meme it out into the weekend with a smile.

A Wild Pack of Memes Roaming the Earth #Fun

Why is it that young humans love to roll in packs? You see this in schools the world over. Kids love roaming around town with other kids, marauding and haunting. I think it’s because there’s safety in numbers. It’s hard to be the odd one out when you have a friend group that will have your back. It’s also because groups usually have a social organization system you can easily fall into. There is usually a clear leader, who calls the shots and sets the tone. Then everyone else falls in rank and file, waiting to be told what to do (under the illusion that they could be the shot-caller themselves).

This gets less and less true as you get older. The group formations tend to fall away until you’re left with your own family unit, which is a pack unto itself. Then you get to watch your kids find their own crew, and the cycle continues.

Pobody’s Nerfect. Wait, I mean Nobody’s Perfect. Proving my own dang point. Everyone, and I mean everyone has flaws. Even Dolly Parton. She only made one Dollywood, and that’s a flaw. Part of being human is messing up. We sometimes hold opinions that we later learn to be based on false information. We hurt the feelings of others on accident, and sometimes on purpose. We push doors that say “pull” and we don’t always rewind the tape before we give it back to Blockbuster (for those old heads in the audience). And we wouldn’t want to be perfect. Perfect would mean that there’s nothing left to work on, no reason to get out of bed in the morning. Perfect would be inhuman.

What we can do, though, is approach perfection. Like that perfect slice of pizza that came right out of the oven– saucy, salty, cheesy, and chewy, all in the right proportions. Fleeting, but almost perfect.

30 Memes For Very Online Adults #Fun

I am so glad I grew up offline. Don’t get me wrong, I cherish and enjoy every single solitary second I spend on this sacred place we call “the internet.” However, I’m glad my uncensored access to the World Wide Web didn’t begin until I was 12. I still grew up during the era when little kids didn’t have phones, and we just watched the same episode of Hannah Montana over and over again to amuse ourselves. We were still frying our brains but with Cartoon Network instead of TikTok. Kids no longer go through the phase of having a flip phone during middle school before they’re responsible enough to handle having an actual smartphone. Whether you like it or not, we’ve built our society around phone dependency for literally every demographic. It’s not going away anytime soon, so you might as well enjoy every second of brain-smoothening entertainment that the internet has to offer.

35 Memes to Lovingly Gaze Upon #Fun

I hate when I’m looking at my phone and laughing, and someone asks me, “What are you laughing at?” 9/10 times, I’m laughing at something that they do not care about or a joke they wouldn’t get. In that moment, I’m given three unappealing options. I could explain the joke, tell them, “Oh, it’s nothing,” or lie and say it’s some random meme. The majority of the time, I will pick #2 and try to salvage the conversation from there, but sometimes I boldly show them the tweet, meme, or text message in question.

These are the kinds of memes you wouldn’t feel embarrassed to show to an acquaintance after laughing at them a little too loudly in public. Memes of this quality don’t come around every day, so it might be imperative to intentionally scroll through them in a public place and laugh out loud to your heart’s desire.

30 Memes to Spruce Up The Place #Fun

Look around you…this room could use a little more decoration or maybe some flowers to spruce it up. Nobody can live in a millennial gray apartment with no windows and maintain their happiness; it’s unnatural. We as humans need beauty in our field of vision, and what better way to see beauty constantly than to make your environment to your liking? You can’t always control where you live or how nice your house is on the outside, but you can control what you put in your home and what you throw away. Even a little accent wall or a nice framed poster on the wall can take space to the next level.

If you like the way your room looks already, maybe you’re the thing that needs sprucing up. If you are down in the dumps and need a picker-upper, these memes will give you a makeover powered solely by laughs.

32 Memes That Can’t Stop Coming And Won’t Stop Coming #Fun

Here we are once again. Another day, another list of 30ish memes for you to consume in any way you want to. It’s pretty miraculous that these memes keep on coming. You should be so lucky to get a fresh stack of brand-new memes in a randomized order every 12 hours. Who knew that there were so many memes in the world? It’s like we’re Daniel Day-Lewis in the film adaptation of Upton Sinclair’s novel Oil! We’re excising this incredible resource from the ground and making it available much more ethically than Daniel Plainview ever could. We would never do the things he did to Paul Dano, aka Eli Sunday. Memes are not worth hitting a guy with a bowling pin over. Memes are not worth abandoning your deaf child for. These comparisons might be getting fuzzy, but if you love memes as much as Daniel Plainview loved having a confusing accent, you’ve come to the right place.

27 Memes Worth Rocking Out To #Fun

Putting on a good record and dancing around the house is one of the best things you can do for your mental health. As George Clinton once said, “Now this is what I want y’all to do if you got faults, defects or shortcomings like arthritis, rheumatism or migraines, whatever part of your body it is. I want you to lay it on your radio, and let the vibes flow through. Funk not only moves, it can re-move, dig?” And I live by that. Music can totally heal your soul. Something about the vibrations just gets your atoms bouncing in the right direction.

Dancing around your house in your underwear is also an exercise in letting go. Let go of whatever is dragging you down, ailing you, causing you discomfort. Just let it go and don’t worry about what it looks like while you do so. Just groove and let the bass line take care of the rest.

33 Memes For Being Alive #Fun

We all need someone to hold us too close, someone to hurt us too deep, someone to sit in our chair and ruin our sleep. I, for one, am desperately searching for someone to need me too much, someone to know me too well, and someone to pull me up short and put me through h*ll and give me support for being alive. After all, it’s hard to be alive even when you have someone by your side to do it with. It’s a lot harder when you’re 35 and single, and all of your stupid friends are married, and you’re the star of a musical about the dysfunctional nature of your love life. Being Bobby from Company is something that a lot of us can relate to, but most of us don’t want to be. If you’re screaming the lyrics to ‘Being Alive’ in the shower, these hilarious memes might serve as a pick-me-up.

28 Bob Dylan Memes Blowin’ in the Wind #Fun

It’s time to become fluent in Bob (as Timothée Chalamet famously claimed he did). Maybe you’ve been a Dylan Disciple since the days of Cafe Wha, sauntering up and down McDougal street listening to him peddle his folk tunes. If so, kudos to you, and I hope retirement is going well. Maybe you’re just getting into him after the recent film A Complete Unknown, where Gen Z’s internet boyfriend brought early Dylan to life, tracking his early rise and move to electric. Either way, welcome to Bob Memes.

You may be thinking to yourself, aren’t Bob Dylan memes insanely niche? How on Earth did you find enough to fill up a meme list? And I say to that, you’d be surprised. Turns out the Venn diagram of Dylan enthusiasts and dank meme creators is a circle. Something about being a fan of that skinny man with a prominent nose and an… interesting voice… means you also make a mean meme.

If you’ve clicked on this meme list, I hope it’s because you are a tomato enjoyer—hate-scrolling is not tasteful (but we welcome it anyway).

Tomatoes. There are many who adore the bright red, water-filled fruit. Others despise them… But enjoy a ketchup condiment? Yeah, I don’t know. Tomatoes have an acquired taste and texture, likely due to how acidic they are. They have a tough skin that might be uncomfortable to bite through for some, but others thoroughly enjoy the burst of flavors when they bite into the red delicacy.

I wasn’t a fan of tomatoes when I was younger, but they’ve since grown on me immensely. Tomatoes are now one of my favorite additions to any salad, burger, or even one of my top picks for a standalone snack… I know. If you are a tomato hater and you’re still reading, you might come around some day like I did. It’s never too late to be on the right side of history.

It’s a truth universally acknowledged that in every American town, there is a group of teenagers who hang out in the 7-Eleven (or equivalent convenience store) parking lot every weekend. It’s a rule of nature. Just how lions are the king of the food chain and monkeys do monkey business, teenagers are going to loiter. It’s in their DNA. They want to sit around someone’s car, or bike, shooting the breeze and getting nothing done. Maybe they’ll pull some pranks involving a shopping cart and a string of firecrackers.

Maybe they’ll hit up Jake’s older brother to see if he can bring his camcorder so they can film said pranks and upload them to a YouTube channel with the title “Crazyyyyy Pranks with Da Bois.” It’s just what they are going to do. And if you don’t know a group of people like this, I hate to break it to you: it’s you.

30 Memes That Spin a Yarn #Fun

Many would argue that all of the best kinds of art tell a story. The narrative doesn’t necessarily have to make sense, but so long as it sparks the imagination in some way it is worthwhile. While we could debate all day about whether or not memes are a form of art, there is no denying that a big part of their appeal is the way in which they manage to tell a tale using a relatively small amount of information and by taking up very little of our time (as single units, that is). The memes that can be found below are no exception, using their limited resources to present to the viewer a range of characters and plotlines that should satiate even the most intrepid of meme viewers. There will be even more stories to tell after these, but first, we have to appreciate what is in front of us.

Ah, yes. The corporate lifestyle isn’t for the faint of heart, but that’s what’s expected of us if we want to live lavishly (or comfortably). A cubicle is kind of like solitary confinement. Though you’re safe within the walls of your 5×5 (they’re flex walls,) you might feel like you’re going a bit stir-crazy. That’s normal when you spend more time at work than you do in your bed at home. A good way to remedy this problem is to bring a pillow and blanket to work and sleep there! Say goodbye to your stressful morning commute and you’ll save some dough on gas. Sounds like a win-win.

The water cooler at work will be your best friend—a quick little hand towel shower and a trip to the office vending machine can keep you clean and satiated. The weather has been so cold that cubicle rotting almost sounds more attractive than making the trip to and from work. Until summertime, be thankful for your cubicle. Though you’re one step away from an ivory straitjacket, at least it’s toasty! If you plan on cozying up in your cubicle until you get some good weather news, stick around. These memes will cure you of your stir-craziness.

35+ Memes Just Chilling #Fun

As a former Secretary of State and Presidential hopeful once said, “I’m just chilling in Cedar Rapids.” Chilling is such a powerful choice of words. It implies so much at once. It implies that not only are you hanging out, not doing much, but you’re also enjoying it. You can never be chilling and having a bad time. Chilling implies a level of cool, calmness, and collectedness that is hard to quite put into other words.

When drinks are chilling in the ice box, they’re cooling down, sure, but they’re also mellowing out, slowly becoming ready for consumption. But it’s not an overabundance of fun that the word suggests. It’s an even keel of positive feelings, neither rising above or dipping below a certain threshold. You can be “just chilling,” which means that you could be persuaded into doing something else. You can be nmjchbu, which is a brief way to keep a conversation going. You can be “chilling,” meaning that you would resent anything that threatens to change your stasis.

As Mr. Rogers famously once said, “It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor.” And if you’re anything like me, you listened and you learned. Having a positive relationship with your neighborhood and your neighbors is an important thing. You need the places you like to go in your neighborhood. Ideally, you need a coffee shop, a dry cleaner, a grocery store, and a hardware store. These are the places you need to identify in your first months of living somewhere.

Then, you need to discover the little special nooks and crannies of the place you live. The streets with pretty buildings, that one little park with the nice patches of light, that one house that always decorates for Halloween. These are the things that make you fall in love with your neighborhood. They make you enjoy the life you’re living, and you have a community you’re a part of.

35 Memes Surviving and Thriving #Fun

People love to talk about the difference between surviving and thriving. Surviving, we say, Is just about having your basic needs met. You have a place to sleep, you’re getting up in the morning, you’re eating meals… but you’re not really enjoying it. You’re doing the bare minimum, but anything more than that seems impossible. Thriving, though, is all the basic tenets of surviving plus having fun while doing them.

This is ideally where we would like to be most of the time. We’re having fun, we’re growing, we’re pushing ourselves, and we’re doing a good job of all of the above. When you’re surviving, it can sometimes it can be hard to push yourself over into the realm of thriving. It may take a good friend shaking you up out of your glum, a vacation from your normal life, or just a commitment to going to the gym the next morning.

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. These are a few of Julie Andrews’ favorite things in The Sound of Music, but that was in 1965. Back in those days, things were a whole lot simpler. In 2025, we have access to literally every tendril of humanity, from any era and any location. All those options make it a little harder to answer this next question. What are your favorite things?

I’d say that one of my favorite things, and truly the crown jewel of the Internet, is meme culture. Maybe I’m biased (considering I look at memes every day for a living), but without memes, being online would be like slogging through a post-apocalyptic wasteland of bad mullets, gladiator cage fighting, and tyrannical governments–oh wait, are we still talking about the Internet phenomenon or Mad Max

Either way, in a world that seems pitted against us, humor is the healthiest coping mechanism. And not all humor is from the gutter, in fact, the best kind of funnies are the smart and respectful kind. No need to be crude or gross to make a joke–we’re more clever than that!

40 Memes to Restore the Balance #Fun

You can’t borrow time from yesterday for today, nor can you save today’s time for tomorrow. If you’ve seen the iconic body horror movie The Substance, you know this sentiment to be true. It might sound great to share your body with a hot 20-something-year-old, but 20-somethings don’t take care of themselves, don’t get enough sleep, and don’t return to their 50-year-old bodies after the prescribed 7 days are up, dooming the 50-year-old to a haggard existence as a bald bitty and eventually killing them both.

Even if you’re not taking a black market substance to create a better you, you need to respect the balance. You can drink five cans of Diet Coke in a day, but you better be getting your steps in. If you’re partying until dawn on Saturday, you better not RSVP to Sunday brunch at 12 PM. If you want a balanced set of memes, you’ve come to the right place.

Why Mukbang YouTuber Nikocado Avocado is the King of Method Youtubing #Fun

It’s a grey November day in Florida, and it’s raining softly on the roof of a car. In it, an overweight man has been sitting in the driver’s seat weeping intermittently. He is about to eat the viral spicy chicken sandwich from Popeyes, which he has spent some time brandishing at the camera through his tears. After a minute or so of hysterical, choppily edited monologing, an outside distraction proves a further breaking point. “I’m just so upset… AND THERE’S A LADY BEHIND ME FEEDING CATS. SHE’S FEEDING THE STRAY CATS… STOP FEEDING THE CATS. STOP FEEDING THE CAAAATS!”

So goes the abridged version of the beginning of “meltdown in my car”, one of the most iconic videos from one of YouTuber Nikocado Avocado’s many, many monetized low points. From a meme standpoint, he could be defined as the most famous YouTube “Mukbanger”—a video genre originating in South Korea where a person films themselves consuming large amounts of food for an online audience.

38 Memes to Pull Out of the Filing Cabinet #Fun

I am not an adult enough to own my own filing cabinet. If I had to haul a 5-foot-tall behemoth of metal drawers up three flights into my new apartment, I would not be particularly excited about that. All of my important files are kept in a Rolodex in my mind. I know exactly where my passport and birth certificate are based on vibes alone, and no fancy 20th-century drawer contraption can do anything for me that I can’t do for myself.

In a way, the internet is its sort of filing cabinet. We bookmark all of our favorite websites to make them super easy to access. We open “files” on our desktops for quick access. If you’re desperately searching for a file called “List of 30 hilarious memes to end my Monday spectacularly”, we’ve got you so covered, it’s not even funny. Remember to close the drawer so it doesn’t slam.

27 Funny Memes for Funny People #Fun

Having a sense of humor is an invaluable quality. You don’t have to be a brilliant standup comedian to know that! Comedy is highly beneficial if you’re weak in other social skills. How many times have you heard the story of the nerdy class clown who was able to gain the respect of their fellow students through their biting sense of humor? I was 100% that kid when I was in high school. I took this John Waters quote extremely literally when I was a teen, and in some ways, I still do!

“Anytime you make someone laugh or satirize something, it’s the best way to change someone’s opinion because they’re defenseless – they laugh, they listen.”

Humor is the most effective casual interpersonal way to get others on your side. Of course, you don’t want to take that too far and always try to perform for others desperately to get them to like you. That came with my class clown era, and I would 0/10 recommend it. If you are a funny fellow who likes to be disarmed by laughter, then boy howdy, have you come to the right place for some hilarious memes that will leave you in stitches.

33 Memes for Kids of All Ages #Fun

It’s easy to get used to being “the younger generation.” I’m sure that when Baby Boomers transitioned from being young hippie free thinkers to yuppie Reaganites, it felt weird to no longer be the youngest generation. People cared about disaffected Gen Xers for a brief moment in the 90s, but since then, Millennials have dominated the generational discourse. I remember seeing a cover of Time Magazine hailing Millennials as “The Me Generation,” claiming they were uniquely obsessed with themselves. In hindsight, that is a silly analysis, considering how Boomers are similarly obsessed with themselves.

Every single “older generation” has had the same critiques of the younger generation for centuries: they claim they’re coddled and not as hard-working when that couldn’t be further from the truth. Luckily for millennials, there’s a new scapegoat in town. “Gen Z” as a term only took off in the last five years, and they’re now the superstars of the generation conversation. Unfortunately, that leaves millennials with a startling new reality: they are no longer “the younger generation.” Luckily for millennials, pushing 40 does not mean they can’t still enjoy their favorite activities, like not buying a house because of avocado toast and scrolling through hilarious memes

I used to think that rotting in bed was just a colloquial internet phrase, but apparently, it is a real phenomenon people regularly do. Bed rotting is, according to Wikipedia,

“Bed rotting, or lying in bed, is a phrase for a social media trend wherein a person stays in bed for an entire day without engaging in daily activities and chores. Many who partake in bed rotting commonly spend their time on their computer or smartphone. The behaviour may have a negative impact in individuals experiencing sadness.”

I know what it means to rot in bed, and I support any of you doing it presently. It is the first day of the calendar year, for crying out loud! Why should we be up and running around like chickens with our heads cut off when we can enjoy the comforts of the bed? You probably didn’t have to work today. You probably have not had to work for the past week, and if anybody is mad at you for enjoying that time by recharging your human body, they can get out of town. If you are rotting in bed right now, these memes are a great way to spend that time.

If you celebrate Christmas, odds are that you went a little, as they say, hard in the paint when it comes to food. The holidays to me are nothing without food. It’s my one chance a year to be as decadent as I want to and not feel bad about it. Bring on the loaded baked potatoes, the cheese dip, the shortbread cookies, and the carrot cake. I’ll take it straight to the dome. It’s Christmas, I don’t care. I think this is a healthy attitude. You have to let yourself purely enjoy something every once in a while, you can’t have impulse control 365 days of the year.

But if you’re anything like me, you might be experiencing a bit of a comedown after the festivities. Maybe you’re only wearing loose-fitting clothing. Maybe you’re taking your dog for an extra-long walk. Or maybe you’re still sitting on your parent’s couch, scrolling memes, letting the good times roll.

25+ Memes That Have Been Long Forgotten #Fun

We’ve got a lot of memes in the system here at Memebase. Most of them are floating around in one drawer or another, waiting to be used later. It’s my job to find all the memes stuffed in a filing cabinet and decide which ones deserve to breathe the sweet air of spring. It’s not always an easy decision. I have to look memes in the eye and tell them, “Sorry, old chap, maybe you’ll be put in a list of funny random memes next week.” It’s never fun news to deliver, but somebody’s got to do it.

The following memes are memes I have wholly neglected up until now. I had to blow the thick layer of dust off of them with a blow dryer. When that didn’t work, I had to get out the mini vacuum cleaner. Finally, they’re all cleaned up and ready for public consumption. I beg of you, please go easy on them.
