The Order of Malta, New Jersey Area, held its Annual Coast to Coast Rosary Walk to pray for the healing of the United States on Oct. 5 on the front lawn of St. Vincent Martyr Church in Madison, N.J.
Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney led a Eucharistic procession and rosary walk with a statue of Our Lady of Fatima around streets in town and adoration with the Blessed Sacrament on the lawn of St. Vincent’s.
Father Owen Moran, pastor of St. Vincent’s; Father Jose Zuniga, parochial vicar of the parish; Father Thomas Fallone, pastor of St. Thomas More Parish in the Convent Station neighborhood of Morris Township, N.J.; and Father Alex Nevitt, administrator of St. Bonaventure Parish in Paterson, N.J., participated in the rosary event. Father Moran, Father Fallone, and Father Nevitt are chaplains of the Order of Malta.

Also participating in the rosary walk were members of the Order of Malta, joined by the faithful from St. Vincent’s and around the Paterson Diocese in New Jersey. They joined rosary rallies around the United States, which were praying simultaneously at 3 p.m. EST that Sunday, as part of the Order of Malta’s annual Coast to Coast rosary initiative.
The Order of Malta is a lay religious organization that serves in various ministries, including caring for the homeless, ministering to those in prison, and attending to the needs of the dying. The organization has a deep devotion to the Blessed Mother.
