Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney installed Father Milton Camargo as pastor of St. Agnes Parish in Paterson, N.J., during a Mass he celebrated on Sept. 14. The bishop appointed Father Camargo as St. Agnes’ pastor effective July 29.
Father Camargo and Father Alexander Wilder Londono, a chaplain at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, concelebrated the Mass with Bishop Sweeney, who was the homilist.
Bishop Emeritus Arthur J. Serratelli ordained Father Camargo to the priesthood in the Paterson Diocese in New Jersey on May 23, 2015. Father Camargo was born in Zetaquirá, State of Boyacá, Colombia, to José Leví Camargo and María Estrella Muño.

During his priestly ministry, Father Camargo has served as parochial vicar of Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Whippany, N.J.; director of pastoral care at Straight and Narrow, the substance abuse treatment program of diocesan Catholic Charities in Paterson; parochial vicar of St. Nicholas and St. Mary parishes, both in Passaic, N.J.; and parochial vicar of St. Brendan/St. George Parish in Clifton, N.J. He had spent several months as a temporary administrator while serving St. Brendan/St. George Parish.
