One thing about TikTokers is that they aren’t shy about oversharing, and there is a plentiful nosy audience ready to enjoy that (and maybe cast some judgment).

If you were to tell any pop music fanatic 10 years ago that Jojo Siwa, the little girl with the ponytail from Dance Moms, is repeatedly being mentioned in headlines for the most unhinged actions, they would not believe you. But here we are, and just last week, right at the start of Pride Month, Siwa caused another internet uproar. It appears as if she is not going anywhere anytime soon.

JoJo Siwa’s story of how she rose to fame is not so different from most child stars, many whom suddenly found themselves being scrutinized under the public’s eye.
