The pastor also serves as diocesan vicar for Hispanic Affairs — the first such position established in the diocese.</p>
<p>In his homily, Father Villamizar thanked God, the Blessed Mother, Bishop Sweeney, Bishop Emeritus Arthur J. Serratelli, the parishes he has served and all the people he met who supported him during his first 10 years of priesthood.</p>

<p>Father Villamizar was born on July 16, 1990, in La Esmeralda, Arauquita-Arauca, Colombia, and studied in Colombia and the United States. He was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Serratelli on May 28, 2016.</p>
<p>Since his priestly ordination, Father Villamizar has served as parochial vicar of St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Passaic, N.J., and then of Our Lady of the Valley and Holy Cross parishes in Wayne, N.J. He currently serves as pastor of St. Margaret’s.</p>
